Sabeeha Rehman spoke to the Fellows about the experience of Muslims in United States, specifically how their experience compares to Muslims in Europe, and the challenges they have faced in the aftermath of 9/11.  A lively question and answer session focused on how the U.S. government system is compatible with Islam, and the impact of the emergence of Islamic thought in the West.  HIA is an international not-for-profit that promotes the growth of young leaders dedicated to human rights.  Over 30 college and university students from Denmark, France, Germany, The Netherlands, Poland, and the US attended a series of seminars and site visits related to race, immigration, civil liberties, education and poverty in the U.S.
