Green Feast: An interfaith potluck dinner

Christians, Jews, and Muslims came together to honor the environment. This special evening of learning, song, food, and conversation was dedicated to the teachings of each faith about honoring the environment. Guests listened to live music, learnt songs from different traditions, and got to know each other over an organic, vegetarian potluck dinner. The event was held at the
Church of St. Paul and St. Andrew. It was sponsored by the American Society for Muslim Advancement, Muslim Consultative Network, West-Park Church, Congregation of B’nai Jeshuran, and the Church of St. Paul and St. Andrew. |

Sabeeha Rehman, Director of Interfaith Programs, with students from Lakeshore Catholic High School, Post Colborne, Canada. As part of their course on ‘World Religions’, the Grade 11 students visited ASMA Society. Ms. Rehman spoke to them on ‘Getting to Know Your Muslim Classmate’, and talked about how Muslims in the U.S. express their faith and how that intersects with the lives of non-Muslims.
Sabeeha Rehman Speaks at the Brotherhood Synagogue in NYC

Sabeeha Rehman, Director of Interfaith Programs, was a guest speaker at the Shabbat Services at the Brotherhood Synagogue in New York City. Ms. Rehman addressed the congregation on "The Experience of Muslim Immigrants in America." A Q&A session followed the Shabbat services, where in an open dialogue, the congregation engaged Ms. Rehman in conversations about tradition, culture, marriage, divorce, and international relations. |
