MLTs in the News: Ethar El-Katatney, MLT Egypt, Wins Anna Lindh Media Award
Ethar El-Katatney, MLT Egypt, was one of the winners of the 2009 Anna Lindh Journalist Award for her article "Identity Crisis" (Egypt Today, Egypt). Presided by André Azoulay, President of the Anna Lindh Foundation, and chaired by renowned Lebanese writer Amin Maalouf, the jury of the Anna Lindh Mediterranean Journalist Award convening in Rome officially announced the winners of the 2009 edition of the prize.
Ms. El-Katatney was recently awarded the CNN's MultiChoice African Journalist Award for her article "The Business of Islam," submitted to the Economics and Business Award category. Ms. El-Katatney is the first Egyptian to receive this award.
