Dr Eboo Patel, founder and director of the Interfaith Youth Core, and Saleemah Abdul-Ghaffur, campaigner for Malaria No More, have partnered with Tony Blair to launch the Tony Blair Faith Foundation. The Tony Blair Faith Foundation will be focused on faith and globalization and specifically on activating faith-based groups around humanitarian causes.
At the press conference held on May 30, 2008, where Tony Blair launched his Faith Foundation, Saleemah Abdul-Ghaffur and Dr Eboo Patel addressed how the Foundation and its partners will help people of faith do more: they are part of the Faiths Act campaign – a multi-faith action on eradicating deaths from malaria.

Imam's Yahya Pallavacini and Abu Eesa Niamatullah joined more than 1,500 participants from 55 countries in an international forum geared towards the region. Participants included key heads of state and government, ministers, leading business figures and leaders from civil society and the media. The event, themed “Learning from the Future,” included debates and discussions centered on future scenarios giving alternative views on how the business, political and social environment might change between now and 2025.
