Channel 4’s Sharia TV in New York City - MLT, USA
Reza Aslan, Saleemah Abdul-Ghaffur, Daisy Khan, and others took part in the fifth series of Channel 4’s Shariah TV, which came from New York City – home to one of the most ethnically diverse Muslim populations in the world. Shariah TV assembled a cross-section of young Muslims to pose searching questions for a panel of eminent Islamic experts. Tazeen Ahmad chairedthe discussions.

Cordoba Initiative (Imam Feisal) hold conference on improving Muslim World-West relations- Kuala Lampur, Malaysia

Hosted by the Institute of Diplomacy and Foreign Relations (IDFR) of the Malaysian Foreign Ministry in conjunction with Cordoba Initiative, the “Third International Conference on the Muslim World and the West: Bridging the Gap,” convened participants from all corners of the globe to take action towards bridging the divide between the Muslim World and the West. Conference delegates presented specific projects, positing innovative solutions to the problem of strained relations. The four action-oriented working sessions included: Improving Muslim-West Engagement, Understanding Islam in Contemporary Global Contexts, Improving Traditional and non-Traditional Public Diplomacy Programs, and Preventing Emerging Muslim-West Crises.
